Dandelion Root Tincture
Ingredients
glass jar with lid such as Mason jar or recycled food grade glass jar
dandelion root
vodka (90 proof)
Directions
- Place chopped up roots in jar (the finer the better).
- Pour vodka over the roots and completely cover them.
- Shake the jar daily and send warm, healing thoughts, thanking the plant for sharing its healing powers with you.
- After 2 to 4 weeks, strain the liquid through cheesecloth to remove any bits of dandelion root. Press the plant material against the cheesecloth to remove excess liquid.
- Rebottle the liquid in a small amber bottle with a glass dropper and store in a cool dark place.
- Compost the root.
Dosage
6–12 drops in juice or water, under the tongue or as desired up to 3 times a day
